From noise control to sensory problem-solvers

We started with earplugs, but our purpose has always been bigger: create innovative solutions to sensory overload, so people can live life fully – on their own terms.

Our beginnings

Friends since childhood, Dimitri O. and Maarten Bodewes started Loop Earplugs back in 2016. From engineering studies to a love of live music and nightlife, the two had a lot in common. Including tinnitus.

After trying every earplug on the market and feeling disappointed by the options, they set out to create something of their own. Something better.

Blending protection, comfort, and style, the first pair of Loop earplugs was born. Designed for nights out. Built in Dimitri’s mother’s garage.

As the 2020 pandemic brought live events to a halt, something became clear: the need for Loop products went way beyond nightlife. People were already using our earplugs to support sleep, focus, parenting, commuting, and everyday noise overwhelm.

That shift also revealed something bigger about what we were bringing into the world. We weren’t just making earplugs – we were making tools to reduce sensory overload in a world that has us experiencing more than ever.

From the all-in-one volume control of Loop Switch™ to the sleep-specific design of Loop Dream™, we’ve been redefining what hearing protection can do ever since. Today, Loop helps millions of people take control of their sensory environment, so they can feel more empowered and present in the moments that matter.
